Menopause Fatigue and Stress PDF Print E-mail

Going though the up and down phases of menopause can be exhausting. As your body tries to adjust to the hormonal imbalance brought on by menopause, you still want to maintain some form of balance and normalcy. Many menopausal women experience menopause fatigue. Perhaps due to their lifestyle, and aggravated by the emotional stresses of menopause, their bodies are worn out and need to rejuvenate.

Listen to Your Body

Some people function best under stress, but when you are going through menopause you do not want to overwork your body. You must be aware of what your body is saying to you. If you are overworking your body and demanding it to perform like it did years ago, you will elevate your stress levels. This may cause you to experience menopause spotting, headaches and/or several other symptoms. Mostly, you will find that you will experience menopause fatigue. Be reasonable in the expectations that you make of your body. Dont overbook chores and errands to compensate for having emotional experiences.

Slow Down

Perhaps the best advice is to calm down. Being a little selfish with your time is the best thing you can do to stay on top of menopause fatigue. Doing housework, shopping, lunching with the girls, and volunteering at church will wear you down. You may find that your energy levels are being zapped at a moment when you need them the most.

Do something for yourself. You have always given so much of yourself to others, and now its time to do the same thing for you. Book a time at a health spa or take a vacation where all you do is just read and have fun. Invite your friend over for drinks in the middle of the week and play cards. Going for a pedicure or a manicure can be a way to get rid of menopause fatigue.

These experiences will help decrease your menopause fatigue and you will renew your energy levels. Dont put your body at risk of shutting down on you. You still have every right to experience life to the fullest.
