Of our earliest ancestors, the Chinese have made it a point to incorporate nature's garden into the world of medicine more than any other culture, cool adhering to the belief of the importance of herbs to this day.

Although many cultures have traditionally used seeds and plant parts in their remedies, China has alleviated ailments using herbs since around 5, 000 BC. Having amassed this knowledge for thousands of years, the Chinese have mastered the art of cultivating herbs for medicinal purposes and other cultures look to them for insight into how a diagnosis can be treated through the use of herbs.

Traditional Chinese Medicine ( TCM ) is heavily relied on throughout the world by everyone from the common consumer to specialists in every field of medicine. The Chinese developed their construction of medicine and herbal remedies to cater to the yin and yang principle, station the body should be in perfect balance and herbs solve harmony to the person taking them.

Instead of treating one symptom, since is commonly done in the Western world of modern medicine Chinese herbal remedies seek to get the body back into a natural state of balance so that healing can occur and any imbalances are eliminated. In conjunction with herbs, the Chinese also incorporate acupuncture, massage, and a healthy diet into the concept of harmony for healing purposes. One Chinese Emperor is credited with the launch of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Emperor Shen Nong (2697 BC) began personally tasting and testing various plants and their parts to see how it would affect his body and could help others with ailments such as circulation improvements and urinary infections.

Later on in history, Emperor Huang Ti developed what is now the world's oldest medical textbook, called Nei Ching, which translates into Yellow Emperor's Canon of Internal Medicine. Many doctors on a global sequence still refer to this text today for herbal insight.

Although Western medicine has had an influence overChinese medicine in the modern world, Traditional Chinese Medicine retains its strong influence as a powerful way to association herbal treatment and technology.

The Chinese strongly believe that your mind and body must be in sync to avoid illness, which is why they have mental health tied into herbal remedies. Western medicine separates the two into different categories, treating the mind separate from the body. However,

Chinese herbal remedies are now being used to treat mental disorders, such as depression in the Western World.

Woman Menopause Symptoms and Treatment Information
By David Lee Buster

Woman menopause can be defined as the time when periods stop. Woman menopause is considered completed when you have not menstruated for twelve consecutive months. Menopause can be a frightening and frustrating time of life for some women. It can be the time when one has to try and separate what are facts from what is fiction.

Menopause does not generally become a life threatening condition. However, symptoms such as rapid heart beat can make one very nervous that something serious is going on. Facial hair growth or thinning hair are common symptoms in women during this time of life, which can be embarrassing at best.

Other common symptoms associated with woman menopause are hot flashes, night sweats, disturbed sleep and a decreased ability to think clearly. The length of time that a woman can experience these or related symptoms can be as varied as the types of symptoms each woman may have. Women should carefully assess if their need for treatment is necessary, depending on how mild or how severe their symptoms are.

At some point in life as a woman ages, it is normal that her reproductive cycle slows and eventually ceases functioning. Another common concern can be that since a menopausal woman will no longer be able to have children, she may not be as interested in her sexual health. However, one does not have to accept a decreased sex life just because menstrual periods have ceased.

Another woman menopause symptom can be constantly feeling tired. Lack of energy may be from overexertion or it may be your body telling you that it needs to rest. While anyone can feel tired occasionally, constantly feeling fatigued can be a symptom of disease or bodily imbalance and can occur at any age. It may be an early sign that your body is not working as it should and something should be done.

Every female will go through woman menopause at some time in their lives. The average age of menopause occurs at age 51 in the USA. It can be considered as an early menopause if it happens before a woman turns 45 years old.

However, if menopause happens before a woman is 40 years old, then it can be referred to as premature menopause. The thirties and early forties are premature for early symptoms of menopause to be experienced unless there are health problems or unless there has been a hysterectomy.

If there are underlying health problems, a woman should definitely not accept it as normal. If there has been a hysterectomy, the healthy hormone production will have been altered, resulting in hormone imbalance. Hormone imbalance means the incorrect levels of the two primary hormones, estrogen and progesterone. In this case, hormone supplementation should be considered, especially natural progesterone.

Women reaching the age of woman menopause can find the experience very traumatic. Menopause does not have to be a negative experience. As woman menopause nears, how much you suffer can greatly depend on your lifestyle, your hormone balance and the support given the body through nutrition and supplementation.

How can a woman tell if she is experiencing hormone imbalance symptoms? There is a woman menopause hormone health test that you can take online. This health test has been developed by a leading womens health clinic, it is used in their practice every day and is available to women online at no cost.

If you are a woman in your thirties or older and you feel your health is not what it should be, get answers to your health questions. Certain symptoms are indications of hormone imbalance which can often be relatively simple to correct.

Understand as much as you can about your health, your specific symptoms, what those symptoms may be telling you and physician-recommended natural treatments available to you.

Is Pregnancy During Menopause Possible?
By Rebecca Prescott

In order to be classed as menopausal your periods need to have stopped for at least twelve months consecutively, which means that you are then infertile. However, the perimenopause, which is the period leading up to the menopause, is a time when many women continue to have a period regularly, and this means that they are at risk of becoming pregnant. Although the chances of becoming pregnant naturally are reduced by fifty percent at the age of forty, and continue to decline with age, pregnancy during these menopausal years is still possible.

Pregnancy during the perimenopausal years

Many women aged between forty five and fifty assume that they are not going to get pregnant, and some believe that the irregular periods that they experience are a sign that they can no longer have a child. However, the very fact that periods are occurring during the run up to the menopause means that eggs are being produced and can be fertilized, and although the chances of getting pregnant are lower during these years there is still a possibility that it could happen, and therefore precautions need to be taken.

During the perimenopausal years periods can be irregular, and this can cause a problem for those not using proper contraception. If you do get caught out and become pregnant, you may put the missed periods down to the fact that they were irregular anyway. This is especially true if you're under the assumption that you cannot get pregnant. However, the reasons for your missed periods may not be anything to do with standard irregularity. It may well be due to pregnancy, which can really come as a shock.

There are a number of contraception options open to those going through the perimenopausal period that will reduce the risks of pregnancy. Of course your chances of becoming pregnant during your twenties and thirties are far higher than in your forties and fifties, but there is still the possibility that it could happen, which means that contraception in some form or another is important.

Oral contraception is a very popular method, and your doctor will be able to recommend a suitable contraceptive pill for your age. These can often reduce the symptoms associated with menopause as well, there are double benefits. Other contraception options for perimenopausal women include sterilization, vasectomy for the partner, or barrier contraception such as condoms and cervical caps.

Anyone that is going through the menopause and is unsure of the best form of contraception for them should speak to their doctor about the available options. Based on your age, health, and medical history, your doctor will be able to offer expert advice on the type of contraception that would best suit your needs.
